Picture me, normal Tuesday, opening my inbox expecting the usual (invoices, a newsletter I forgot I signed up for, someone named Greg).
Instead: a very notable nameās team. Reaching out about GloGlo.
I read it once. Squinted. Read it again. Possibly stood up.
THIS is what building in public is about!!!!! Do it because you love the thing and you want people along for the ride. Wins, flops, the unhinged middle part. People love the real human stuff.
So if youāre out there building something and wondering whether anyoneās watching: they are. More than you know. You never know who, or when, or what it turns into.
The good stuff has a creepy little habit of showing up the second you stop looking for it š

LA one-two punch
Flew to LA twice in six days, which Iām pretty sure makes me a local now.
And listen - such a cool place?? Nobody talks about it anymore! Itās getting completely drowned out by the NY-vs-SF battle.
Meanwhile LA is just out here, sunny, unbothered, eating a $19 salad in perfect weather.
Consider this my quiet little love letter to it. Who else is secretly an LA person??? Beside the Snapchat exec team.

Someone dropped that as a comment the other day. Most valid question you could ask.
We market these fun delicious accessible energy gummies, but for diabetes folks, they need something that scientifically works. And they need to be assured of that.
And instead of us answering, the creator pulled up a screenshot of her own glucose monitor, where you can literally watch her blood sugar bounce right back up.
THIS IS WHAT ITāS ALL ABOUT!!!!! Made our teamās entire week.
Meme of the week: my trampoline park story
A nine-year-old double bounced me at a trampoline park last weekend.
I went seven feet straight up, then sideways, and landed on a different child.
The boy who launched me did not apologize, he just laughed and bounced away.
His mother, watching from a bench, said āthey do that.ā
Thatās when I realized, power is not about being the heaviest in the room.
Power is about knowing when the heaviest person is in the air, and timing.
The most dangerous people in your career are the ones bouncing for themselves on a trampoline you happen to be on.
Every business has a double bouncer.
I have, in moments Iām not proud of, been the double-bouncer.
