Thing of the week: therapists

As a founder, it can feel like you’re supposed to be perfect in public; this ultimate business person crushing it 24/7.
But founders carry some of the most intense pressure out there: your team, your investors, your vision, etc
Self-doubt eats your energy and anxiety eats your momentum. And most people won’t say a word about it, even behind closed doors, out of fear the truth gets out that they aren’t perfect
We’ve totally normalized hitting the gym (half for health, half for productivity). But mental health is still weirdly taboo in startup culture.
Therapy helps me see myself clearly when I’m too close to the problem. If you’re building something hard, you need someone to talk to, who isn’t on your team and isn’t invested in your success.
Get one if you don’t already!!! You are strong AND human
Help, my toes
I stub my toe on this couch corner at least 3x a week.
Any recommendations?? Furniture pads? Better spatial awareness? A tiny helmet for my foot? I’m taking all ideas.
